Join us for #NobleGameChanger charity event this weekend!

This weekend starting tomorrow, Noble’s stream team will join forces with GameChanger once again to host a charity event.

As a celebration for the Gamers Give Back Tour hosted by GameChanger in November 2016, members of the Noble stream team combined their efforts to raise over five-thousand dollars for children impacted by life-threatening illnesses. The funds go towards a college scholarship awarded to a selected child. With their collective efforts, along with the gaming community as a whole, the goal of $5,000 was quickly met.

In July of 2017, Mizz Skillrex from the Noble stream team flew out to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles alongside members of the GameChanger staff to meet with a young man who had been weighed down by the burden of fighting a severe illness. The entirety of his life was spent with repeated trips to the hospital, treatments and a constant need to re-adapt to life in the midst of so many changes.

Up until his meeting with Skillrex and the GameChanger staff, the young man was completely unaware of the good fortune coming his way. When the scholarship was passed over to him on that fateful morning, a literal ray of hope lit his face to the point that his smile became truly illuminating.

Fast forward to the present day, which marks our next opportunity to instill hope into another child’s future. We are once again partnering with GameChanger to raise another $5,000 that will go towards a college scholarship to be awarded to another fortunate child.

The following streamers have been chosen to take part in this charity event:

Each streamer listed will have their names linked to their respective Twitch channels, so if you would like to join us on this journey, we welcome you to follow each of them. The names of both organizations are inscribed on this new shirt, along with the hashtag #NobleGameChanger.

If you’d prefer, you can purchase this new garment as a tank top or a sweatshirt instead of a normal t-shirt. 25% of all proceeds from sales will go towards the charity event. Orders will be available in all sizes and for males and females alike.

What is GameChanger?    The organization was founded by Jim Carol and his son Taylor. The two had been forever changed by an ordeal that left everyone feeling incredibly uncertain over the fate of young Taylor.

In May 2006, Taylor was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia and given only two weeks to live. The devastated family sought guidance from multiple sources before reaching the decision to relocate the boy to the Children’s Hospital of Seattle, where Taylor Carol would begin fighting for his life. It was during this oppressive period that Taylor discovered a deep love for video gaming, a passion that distanced him from his personal obstacle while enabling him to communicate with his peers.

In spite of overwhelming odds, Taylor overcame and beat the disease after over five long years. The experience impacted both him and his entire family, and they now live their lives with a passion for life matched by only a select few. They attributed this miracle to both the kindness of strangers and video games, which kept Taylor’s life alight with hope and happiness.

Eventually, the Carol family decided to rekindle this same hope for other children suffering from major illnesses, and so they founded the GameChanger organization as a “foundation of hope.” Meanwhile, Taylor, now 100% healthy, graduated from Harvard University in 2017, expounding upon his passion for music and his desire to help young cancer patients along the way. He continues to be an ambassador for children facing down the challenge of cancer issues, and he has helped raise over ten million dollars as a spokesperson for the Leukemia Lympoma Society.
